Milestones

In October 1989, five individuals founded the first company CABLEX d.o.o. with a head office in Savlje pri Ljubljani, Slovenia.

In 1991, we founded CABLEX-LOGISTIC in Dillingen, Germany, which in 1994 moved to Lauingen. Today, CABLEX Logistik is the logistics centre for Western and Eastern Europe.

In 1993, we took over the company TOZD Elmont and founded our first subsidiary, CABLEX-M, d.o.o. in Mežica, which employed 26 people.

In 2003, the Group began to expand its operations abroad, initially to Poland, where we founded the Cablex Poland subsidiary, with its head office in Lodz.

In 2004, the initial location of Cablex in Savlje, Ljubljana became too small; therefore, we moved the head office and the production plant to Tržič, to refurbished premises of the former company ZLIT. Tržič later became the headquarter of Cablex Group.

In 2006, we took over the local producer of cable harnesses, TANSEL ELEKTRIK, from Bolu, which already had an established know-how on cable assembly lines and the production of silicone wire and sealants.

Establishment of company CABLEX-Plastik for manufacture of plastic parts for the home appliances industry happened in 2006. Later the expansion of the production for other industries followed.

With our aim of enhancing competitiveness for mass products, we founded the CABLEX-BH production unit in Aleksandrovac in Bosnia.

In 2009, we founded a new production unit in Serbia, CABLEX-S d.o.o.

We opened a new production unit CABLEX CN Electronics Co. Ltd., in China in 2011.

In 2014, we added a new site in Turkey, an additional 6000 m2 production plant in Saray near Cherkezkoy.

In 2018, CABLEX Group took over DIETER EIFLER GmbH & Co. KG, which had its head office in Germany, and production units in Romania and Hungary. This significantly increased the proportion of the automotive programmes and resulted in two independent production subsidiaries, SC CABLEX RBM SRL in Romania and CABLEX-HU Production B.T. in Hungary, and new business and sales plant in Germany, CABLEX-DE GmbH.

In 2019, we celebrated 30 years since the founding the first CABLEX company.
