For us, this is more than just a development approach – it is an opportunity to work closely with our customers from the very beginning of a project and actively contribute our manufacturing expertise to the product design.
Why is this so important? Today, customers are continuously looking for ways to reduce purchasing costs while maintaining high quality and reliability. In our experience, the greatest opportunities for cost optimization are often created during the product design phase. A product designed with manufacturing in mind can enable higher levels of automation, more efficient processes, and ultimately lower production and purchasing costs.
By involving Cablex at an early stage, we can also prepare our internal processes in time. This includes planning production technologies, defining assembly processes, preparing equipment, and securing the necessary capacities. As a result, we can support a smoother industrialization process and help ensure reliable, timely first deliveries.
Early involvement, however, is not the only way to create value. For products and programs already in serial production, Cablex works together with its customers on continuous optimization projects. These are joint initiatives focused on identifying practical opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency. For example, by optimizing wire cross-sections where technically possible, we can reduce the copper content of a product and achieve lower material and purchasing costs.
We believe that the best results come from close cooperation, open communication, and combining the expertise of both the customer and the supplier. The earlier we work together, the more opportunities we can identify to save time, reduce costs, and minimize risks.
