Cab|teh is a unit of our plant in Mežica, Slovenia. It operates as a technology center specializing in automation, machine development and production innovations. It consists of four engineers whose vision is to create automation solutions that contribute to improvements in performance. Read about their experience of working at Cablex in their own words:
Jan, Head of Cab|teh
What I do:
I lead technology development activities in Cab|teh, focusing on manufacturing automation and industrialization. I coordinate a multidisciplinary team while staying directly involved in technical work, from PLC programming and robotics to machine vision, SW programming, electronics and mechanical design.
What I enjoy most about my work:
I enjoy solving problems that do not have an obvious off-the-shelf solution and turning ideas into working solutions on the production floor. I also value the variety of projects and the opportunity to stay hands-on.
What challenges me at work:
Finding the right balance between innovation and practicality. A good solution must not only be technically interesting, but also reliable, maintainable and economically justified.
One thing that I love about being part of the Cablex team:
The opportunity to work with people from different plants, disciplines and backgrounds who share a lot of practical manufacturing knowledge. When that experience is combined with engineering and new technologies, and when we can contribute both through coordination and hands-on technical work, we can develop solutions that would be difficult to achieve individually.

What I do:
I work with automation and electrical engineering, mainly finding ways to improve our machines and production processes.
What I enjoy most about my work:
I like finding simple solutions that actually make a difference. If you stay grounded and focus on the real problem, you don’t always need rocket science to make a big improvement.
What challenges me at work:
No two projects are the same, so there’s always something new to figure out.
One thing that I love about being part of the Cablex team:
I like that good ideas are listened to and that we have the freedom to actually put them into practice.

What I do:
I design and develop mechanical components for machines, equipment, and applications required and used across the companies within the Cablex Group.
What I enjoy most about my work:
What I enjoy most about my work is that every day is different. Every day is opportunity to learn something new and also get new skills.

What challenges me at work is finding ways to improve or upgrade existing applications and make them more efficient and effective.
One thing that I love about being part of the Cablex team:
Even though the Cablex Group is a large organization and individual departments within each company may be relatively small, everyone has the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the success of the entire Cablex Group.

I design components and assemblies in SolidWorks, 3D print parts, and assemble the final products.

Turning ideas into functional products and solving technical problems.

Finding practical and reliable solutions for complex technical requirements.
